Waking Up in the Pine Tree Shadow
We must not cower behind walls of privilege that we erect out of fear. Fear, denial, & futility are not options at this critical time. Rather, we must vote, act, support, & wake up now, wake other up now, & be a revolutionary force for a sane and healthy future for all beings.
– Joan Halifax
I shot this image on a very windy afternoon in The Reserve in New Mexico a couple weeks ago. The setting sun was intensely bright, making this a rather difficult image to take. How astonishing it was to stand in both the blinding sunlight and the tree’s shadow all at once!
This is how it feels to me now, standing on the brink of a move to a new city in the middle of a pandemic. I’m starkly aware of the fragility we all share with proverbial winds whipping through my hair.
While we stand alone in a sprawling field of uncertainty, we are not powerless. Collect your creativity along with your intellect to create a sense of agency to do what needs to be done. Let your heart and mind be a compassionate fortress.

Deep Listening
Like the earth listening to seed waiting to unfold, how can I cultivate a generous ear attuned to the Soul?
Brave Little Rabbit
This curious rabbit befriended me in Taos last week. So curious, in fact, I had three photo sessions with her.
Fire Sunset in Taos
What is being dislodged, burned up, and swept away that clearly needs to go? What new growth…
