Sepia Lightning

The other day I shot a sequence of lightning shots with my iPhone 6–all handheld. It was well past sunset and although I was pushing my phone well past its limits I’m pleased with the outcome. This image has a similar feeling to the earliest sepia photographs taken with faulty lenses and hit or miss chemistry.

I’ll probably write about my approach in more detail in another post with a sharper image. For now I leave you with a question – what makes a “perfect” image? Is there even such a thing?
