Look for the Patterns
I love how this flock of sandhill cranes reminds me of notes in musical score, like a feathered arpeggio! Life is filled with repeating patterns, cadence, and rhythm…
“Rhythm. Life is full of it; words should have it, too. But you have to train your ear. Listen to the waves on a quiet night; you’ll pick up the cadence. Look at the patterns the wind makes in dry sand and you’ll see how syllables in a sentence should fall. ”
― Arthur Gordon, A Touch of Wonder
Patterns – they can be skillful or unskillful in our lives, and often it takes time and quite a bit of attention to be able to spot them. Space needs to be given to allow them to repeat, after all.
What patterns are you able to recognize that you wish to continue, or are ready to let go of?

Whatever calls to you now. Whatever sings for your attention or knocks on your door, turn toward it. Run with wings flapping pulling the light within you forward….
What gateways to awareness are emerging in this moment? Where do you sense suffering? Where are the thresholds of beauty and wonder?
You cannot protect the environment unless you empower people, you inform them…
