When I purchased the amazing zoom lens that was used to take this picture I had images of whales and other large mammals in mind, not insects. But just last week, while lazing on the porch glider that sits beneath my magnificent apricot tree I spied what must have been the last butterfly of the season. From one of the highest branches it seemed to be spying on… me!
