Chilly Monte Vista Sunrise

This is the first photograph I’m posting from the photo workshop in the San Luis Valley led by the masterful wildlife and landscape photographer, Ed MacKerrow. Stay tuned as I become familiar with the nuances of HDR photography, which we dove into head-first on most of our landscape shots.
This image is a composite of five shots. I feel a bit like Alice tumbling down a substantial rabbit hole of post-processing. There are an endless number of settings to choose from and although it’s more time-consuming than my regular approach to image editing, I have a feeling I’ll settle into my own signature way of doing things.
